Glad Group’s Reconciliation Action Plan

Glad Group’s business

Glad Group website

Proudly Australian-owned, Glad Group provides integrated property services to customers, including cleaning, security, concierge and maintenance services.

Glad Group’s headquarters are in Rockdale, NSW, with four Australian State-based offices. More than 2,500 people are based at customer assets around Australia and New Zealand. These people are either directly employed as permanent employees or in some cases as casual support staff to meet variable operational demands. Our clients include ASX-listed property companies, government agencies and tertiary institutions.

Our people come from culturally and geographically diver backgrounds, with more than 60 nationalities across our business. We take great pride in this diversity and celebrate and recognise it.

Glad Group’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy

A Force for Good

Glad Group’s FY22 ESG Report

A critical step in incorporating ESG considerations into business is identifying and assessing key ESG risks and opportunities for our business and stakeholders. We know that our business can drive both positive and negative impacts and as such Glad Group is committed to assessing and managing our most material impacts. In line with a best practice approach, Glad Group has engaged with our stakeholders to develop our ESG Strategy which articulates the material issues that they expected us to be acting on that are relevant to our operations.

Glad Group ESG Strategy

It is these material areas that Glad Group has focused action on, supported by strong ESG governance including our ESG Committee, relevant ESG policies and underpinned by standards such as ISO14001.

“Glad Group is committed to conducting and managing its business and its operations in a manner that reflects our high ethical standards.”

Glad Group’s Policies

It’s all our responsibility

While Glad Group’s ESG Strategy is led day-to-day by our senior leadership team, every person in our business has a responsibility to bring it to life in their role and through what they do. This responsibility also extends to other stakeholders, including business partners and suppliers – that is, to identify and manage the relevant ESG risks and opportunities in their own operations. Our support of the Supply Chain Sustainability School reflects our commitment to help our business partners and suppliers by ensuring that reliable and well-informed resources are freely and publicly available to help businesses adopt a continuous improvement approach and embed ESG principles in their operations.

What you need to do

We are asking several key suppliers to complete specific courses with the Supply Chain Sustainability School. However, we encourage all our business partners and suppliers to register with the Supply Chain Sustainability School to begin or further enhance your ESG learning. This learning can be done by completing a benchmarking assessment with a custom action plan then generated to kick-start learning, or the resources can be worked through at your own pace.

Undertaking this learning will give you practical tools and knowledge to help you build ESG considerations into your business, operations and decisions and help to ensure that you are best positioned to meet the needs of your stakeholders. The content below has been chosen to provide you with a great ESG foundation, but there is much more content to explore.
